Wildlife at every turn
Mpfuvu is Xitsonga for Hippo. We gave our guesthouse this name as we are regularly visited by these large mammals who kindly mow our lawn every day. From the comfort of our viewing terrace, you can observe an array of wildlife who enjoy the Olifants river.

We’re a group of passionate wildlife and conservation professionals, with a mission to reconnect guests to their roots and maximise the spiritual luxury of this beautiful location. Mpfuvu Manor is the bush home of Steve, Graham and Maja (not forgetting Poddy, the dog). Along with Lista, we are the team who will look after you during your stay.
